If you’re going to make Mexican salsa at home, you should get to know these bad boys. Are they spicy? OH YEAH! So just be careful if this is your first venture into the serrano world, I recommend starting with 1 tsp. at a time and adding more on as you get comfortable. A definition on wikipedia says “the serrano pepper is a type of chili pepper that originated in the mountainous regions of the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo.”
